What Are Your Sessions Like?

    Our sessions will be dedicated to discussing your current concerns in your life or relationship that are most important to you. I do not adopt a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

  • Targeted

    I believe in making the most of your time in therapy. I will assist you with setting goals for our time spent together and ensure that we are constantly working toward greater overall well-being.

  • Integrative

    I take an eclectic approach to my therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques from emotionally-focused, action-oriented, and mindfulness modalities.

  • In the first session, I typically like to spend time getting to you know you and understanding what is bringing you to therapy at this time. We will discuss your goals for therapy and you will have the opportunity to ask me questions.

  • We can meet as frequently as you prefer. Depending on the reasons for therapy, we may start out with weekly or bi-weekly sessions and adjust as you begin reaching your goals and feeling better in between sessions.

  • I do not accept insurance as it does not align with my therapeutic philosophy. My out of pocket rates are $125/session for individuals or $150/session for couples.

  • We can meet in person or virtually! In person sessions will be held at my Erlanger (Northern KY) office and video sessions will be held over a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • I work with all my clients from the framework of understanding people within their broader social context and family system, so I do not spend a great deal of time focused on diagnoses.

  • I tend to lean toward both insight-based and action-oriented approaches, depending on your presenting issues and goals for therapy. Specific modalities I draw upon are emotionally-focused therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.
