What Are Sessions Like?

Our sessions focus on the relationship concerns that matter most to you. With couples, I use the Gottman Relationship Checkup to gain a clear picture of your unique patterns, strengths, and challenges, allowing me to provide feedback-informed therapy tailored to your relationship. For individual therapy, sessions are similarly relationship-focused and centered on understanding personal patterns, emotional responses, and needs within relationships. I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach—every session is personalized to support meaningful connection, improved communication, stronger intimacy, and greater overall well-being.

How Often Will We Meet?

Session frequency is typically weekly or bi-weekly, though this can be adjusted based on your needs and goals. We will discuss what works best for you during our initial session.

In Person or Virtual?

I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. In-person sessions are available at my office in Florence, Kentucky. Virtual sessions are conducted via a secure video platform. We can discuss which option works best for you.

What Are Your Rates?

Couples Therapy: Initial intake session is $200 (includes Gottman Relationship Checkup), all subsequent sessions are $160. Individual Therapy: $130 per session.

What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

Payment is accepted via cash, check, all major credit cards, and HSA. Insurance is not accepted.

Why Is Insurance Not Accepted?

Insurance coverage is designed around individual diagnoses and medical necessity, which can limit how couples and relationship-focused therapy is provided. Many of the challenges couples and individuals bring to therapy, such as communication issues, conflict patterns, emotional disconnection, or intimacy concerns, are relational in nature rather than diagnosable mental health conditions. Accepting insurance would require assigning a diagnosis to one partner and focusing treatment narrowly on symptoms rather than the relationship itself. By working outside of insurance, I am able to offer flexible, relationship-centered care without needing to assign a diagnosis or restrict the focus of our work. This allows therapy to stay centered on your goals and supports meaningful, evidence-based couples work focused on connection, communication, and intimacy.

Will I Receive a Good Faith Estimate?

Yes. In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of therapy services before we begin working together. The estimate reflects the anticipated cost of therapy over one calendar year based on weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions. When your Good Faith Estimate expires, you will receive an updated estimate for the following calendar year, including any fee changes that may have occurred since your previous estimate.

Using evidence-based Gottman approaches coupled with Attachment Theory, our work will focus on helping you recognize what's happening beneath conflict, respond rather than react, and communicate in ways that foster understanding and connection. Couples can expect to build stronger communication skills, manage conflict more effectively, and strengthen emotional and physical intimacy. Individuals working on relationship concerns will gain clarity around their needs, learn to set healthy boundaries, and develop tools to engage more thoughtfully and intentionally in their relationships. What Is Your Therapeutic Approach?

For couples therapy, I work primarily within the Gottman Method framework, an evidence-based approach that strengthens communication, connection, and intimacy. When helpful, I also integrate select Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) interventions to support emotional attunement and deeper relational understanding. My approach balances insight and action, tailored to your unique goals and presenting concerns. For individual therapy, my work is relationally focused and designed for clients seeking support with relationship-related challenges. Individual sessions draw from the same Gottman-informed principles as well as Attachment Theory, emphasizing self-awareness, emotional regulation, communication patterns, identifying needs, and setting healthy boundaries to support more connected and fulfilling relationships.
